BE OUR GUEST

WHAT TO EXPECT
We love guests and hope you'll join us this Sunday. All of the worship services are a little over an hour long. Dress is casual from jeans to suits and guests can expect a memorable worship experience for the whole family. The service consists of several worship songs, an engaging sermon and several other creative elements. Everyone worships in their own unique way – for many, that means singing & clapping, and for others, it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. There will be an offering during the service for our regular attenders, but please do not feel obligated to give. The entire community is invited to join us as we celebrate together each weekend.
- The Worship Center is located under the large steeple and our main guest parking is adjacent.
- Most first-time guests attend our 10:45am service in the Worship Center.
- The dress is casual from jeans to suits.
- If you have children, it's best to park close to the Children's Building on the south side of the campus. The safe and secure check-in is located at the south entrance of the Children's Building. After checking your kids in, there is a covered walkway that will lead you towards all of the Worship Center.
- Information stations are located throughout the campus, but the main information station is in our "Connection", located conveniently at the heart of the campus between the Worship Center, Family Life Center and the Children's Building.
- Our Pastor and staff love to meet guests. After the service, you may meet our pastor outside of our Hospitality Room near the "Connection".
Which service should I attend?
We offer services at 9:15 and 10:45am and there is childcare for birth-K at both hours. You can find information, how to find one of our Life Groups at one of our Welcome kiosks on campus.
What do I wear?
Please dress in the way you feel most comfortable. Members of First wear anything from jeans to suits. Your clothing isn't important to God; your willing and open heart is. Come dressed comfortably, but come ready to experience the presence of God!
What about childcare?
There is childcare available in our Children's Building at the south part of the campus. If you are dropping off children, we recommend you use one of the guest parking spots close to the Children's Building instead of parking in the front of the campus near our Worship Center on Louisiana Street. This will help you drop off your children early and better navigate the campus without children in tow. (Click HERE for kids information) Grade School (K-5th grades) will have a large group experience followed by a small group experience most Sundays. We encourage you to take your grade school children with you to worship and allow them to go to a Life Group for one service block.
What about Sunday School?
Our Sunday School Program take place through 9:15 & 10:45am on-campus Life Groups. You can find an updated listing of Life Groups at any of the Welcome Kiosks on campus or click HERE. Click HERE for room locations.
Where do I park?
Most guests visit our church from the Louisiana Street entrance, where we have designated Guest Parking in the very front of the building just off the street. Parking attendants will help you find your way to the Welcome Center. For additional help, you can turn on your car hazard lights when you enter our parking area, so we can identify you and assist you. If you have children, you are invited to park next to our Children's Building in the south parking area at the back of the campus, for easier access to this building.
FBC is a large church, so where do I go?
Information kiosks are located throughout the campus, but you may choose to park in the Guest Parking and enter the doors at the Chapel entrance. If you have children we recommend using the guest parking near our Children's Building. At each door, we have greeters that can help you receive assistance in finding your way to the Worship Center, Children's Building, Family Life Center or the ROCK (Student Center). The Connection is an information area located in between the main building and our Family Sports Center in the back of the campus. Here, you can find information on all activities and ministries here. Greeters are stationed all along your journey to assist you with any questions you may have.
I am a nursing mother; is there a place to feed my child?
There is a nursing mother's room in the Children's Building near the infant nursery rooms. The service from our worship center is usually available on a screen in this room. There is also a love seat in the Ladies' Restroom just behind the Worship Center near the Choir Room. Can I hear/see the service before I visit?
The worship services from the Worship Center are placed on the video player a few hours after the service takes place. We primarily archive our 10:45am Worship Center service. These archives feature the entire service, including the sermon. You can also download our iPhone app for more sermon archives.
