Dr. Harry Beverly Ph.D., LPC-S
Harry received his undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University in Christianity and Psychology. He has a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology and Counseling, both from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Beverly has been counseling professionally since 1987. For 16 years he was a counselor with the Minirth-Meier Clinic in Richardson, Texas, until he joined the staff of FBC McKinney and started the Counseling and Enrichment Center in 2003. He is licensed as a Professional Counselor - Supervisor. Dr. Beverly is an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University teaching in the Masters Level Counseling Program. Dr. Beverly is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and works with adolescents and adults in individual, couple and family therapy on a variety of psychological, emotional, relational, behavioral and spiritual issues. His approach to counseling seeks to integrate counseling skills and strategies with biblical principles. He is a Level II, certified in the Leading From Your Strengths Inventory, which is a relational and team building inventory. Dr. Beverly provides testing and assessment in areas such as achievement, ability, career development, individual temperaments and various marriage enrichment evaluations. He is the co-author of the book, “The Thin Disguise - Understanding and Treating Anorexia and Bulimia”. He is married to Laura and they have two children.

Jill Todd Dillashaw M.A., LPC-S
Jill believes God has a plan and vision for our lives. She works with clients dealing with depression, post-partum, anxiety, grief, parenting, marital issues or clients who just needing clarity and Biblical direction. She helps clients answer questions such as: "Is there more to just merely surviving grief/pain/trauma?" "Is there purpose in our most frustrating days?" "What are the keys to discovering more of God's vision for my life?" "How does one find joy again?" "How do I organize and manage my life to reach GOD's potential for me and my family?" Jill works with couples, children, teens, women and men. She believes through the counseling process one can begin to challenge non-biblical views of self and the world, find skills to ease pain or to bring about better results, and learn to maximize life as an individual, couple or family.
Jill is a graduate of Baylor University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Religion. She attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary earning a Master’s of Marriage and Family Counseling and a Master’s of Religious Education. She has worked in many settings including police department special crimes/victim’s services, church staff, domestic violence treatment programs, and residential counseling centers. However, Jill feels especially at home in private Christian-based practice. Jill has been a licensed counselor for 19 years. She is a Texas state supervisor of counselors working towards their licenses.
Jill is married to her college sweetheart. They have 4 children, including one they were blessed to adopt. She was a stay at home mom for 14 years as their kids were younger. They now have 1 in college, 1 home schooled and preparing for the military, 1 in high school, and 1 in middle school. They enjoy sports, fishing, very competitive card games, and numerous school and church activities.

Carol received both her undergraduate and Master's Degrees from Oklahoma State University where she was on the Dean's and President's Honor rolls and graduated as one of the top ten seniors. She has numerous post-graduate hours in Play Therapy from the University of North Texas where she was honored to train with Dr. Garry Landreth for five years in weekly supervision. She has taught other professionals by presenting counseling techniques and theories at play therapy conferences in Georgia, New Hampshire, California and Texas.
For more than twenty years, "Mrs. Carol" has been helping children and their families in Collin County. She has practiced counseling in the public schools, worked a grant in the Student Development Office of Collin County Community College and been in private practice in McKinney. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. She specializes in Play Therapy with children. Carol is a graduate of Leadership McKinney. She and her husband have lived in McKinney for 40 years, and have been members of FBC McKinney during this same time. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. "Grammie" delights in playing with her grandchildren and is always ready for the next opportunity.
Carol loves to walk and has been writing devotionals about object lessons found on her walks for more than two years now. These devotionals are shared with friends and others who wish to be included. Carol values her personal relationship with God and her relationship with her clients. This combination helps her to facilitate the fullest possible therapeutic healing.

Dr. Melissa Ewing
Melissa received her Masters and Doctorate from the University of North Texas. She received degrees in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in children and families. She has worked at the Minrith-Meier Clinic in Richardson, the Dallas Child & Family Guidance Center and Dallas County MHMR. Dr. Ewing began counseling with the Counseling & Enrichment Center in 2004. She has also served as the Children's Minister for First Baptist since 2006.
Dr. Ewing is married to Howard and they have three children.

Ashley Abernathy M.S., LCDC, LPC
ASHLEY earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Texas Woman’s University. Since graduation, she has obtained licensure as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), providing substance abuse assessments and treatment for addictions. She is also a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
She has worked at Heartlight Ministries, a residential treatment center for struggling teens, and for Collin County MHMR for over four years. Her professional experience includes clients struggling with self-injury, grief, developmental disabilities, drug use, trauma, and abuse. Currently, Ashley works with the Juvenile Justice System providing counseling to young offenders and their families.
Ashley grew up in McKinney and has been a member of First Baptist Church for over ten years. She and her husband Jordan enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family. She integrates evidence-based counseling techniques with biblical truth. Counselor and client will work together to develop goals and a plan for treatment. Ashley has a passion for working with teenagers, adults and families.
