Support Groups are designed to help you find help and healing in a group setting. We have several different types of groups to help with addiction and recovery as well as groups that can help you through a time of healing. If you are interested in other types of groups and want to see if they meet on our campus contact the church main office at 972.542.0041 or counseling office at 469.424.1618. Support Groups meet at various times and locations on and off our church campus. They are typically organized around a topic of interest.
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you have probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That's the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos also include on-location video and the real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.
After viewing the video, you will participate in a small group discussion about what you have seen on the tape. You will also have the opportunity to interact with others who have experience a recent loss, learn about their experiences and have the opportunity to share your own.
GriefShare is a non-denominatinal group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Click HERE to email us for more information on GriefShare.
At DivorceCare, you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. You'll meet others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement. You'll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the DivorceCare seminar. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program.
Current/next session: begins Jan 11
Your child/children are welcome to begin starting DC4K at any time. Your child will be able to continue DC4K through the next cycle and participate in the sessions he/she has missed.
