Comments from the Pastor Search Committee
"Give praise and honor to God for allowing us to open our doors to Sam, Rebecca, and their girls. We are excited for what God has prepared for our church family and the community of McKinney. Sam brings a long history of passionately loving the Lord and I am looking forward to him leading First McKinney into the next chapter of what God has in store!"

"Sam is a gifted leader and teacher with a passion for God's Word, His Church and being intentional about connecting people to a deeper walk with Christ. He is God's right man for this time in the life of First McKinney and I can't wait for our church family to get to know Sam and Rebecca and their sweet girls!"
"Sam is genuine…he is special. His compassion for people is palpable. He puts God and family first. I have every confidence he will lead our church to change the heart of McKinney into a city in love with Jesus Christ…I can’t wait to be a part of this life-changing movement!"
"Sam is the right guy at the right time to be the leader of First McKinney. He has a unique ability to authentically communicate God's word and has a passion for discipleship through personal relationships. This is the perfect mix for the next season of growth at First McKinney and Kingdom impact beyond the walls of our church!"
"Through a great season of prayer and expectation for God's moving in McKinney, we are grateful to have been led to Sam and Rebecca Holm. Sam has an unmistakable passion for Jesus and the story of grace colliding with mankind woven throughout Scripture. Sam is so authentic and draws people in through genuine relationship and discipleship enabling him to point them to Christ. Under God's leadership, Sam will lead our church through a wonderful new chapter as we make an impact in McKinney and around the world."
"Sam is the right leader for “such a time as this.” (Esther 4:14) Our church body is electric with potential, and Sam will lead the charge in unlocking that potential to mobilize, empower, and lead people to build the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. Without vision, people perish. (Prov. 29:18) Sam is an authentic, catalytic, visionary leader who is missional in his thinking, and transformational in his leadership. He’s the right pastor for our church, and the right pastor for our city."
