First McKinney's Vision
Helping People Find and Follow Jesus
The key to the future is to unlock the past. From the very beginning of its history over a century ago, missions and evangelism have been the driving forces of First Baptist Church, McKinney. On August 11, 1872, thirteen people met at the Collin County Courthouse and pledged to organize The First Baptist Church of McKinney, Texas. Over 143 years later, the DNA that was formed then is still found in the ministries of First McKinney and in a congregation that follows God wherever He leads with prayer and sacrifice. There are multiple ways for a family or individual to get involved through different worship styles and experiences. Through family-focused ministries and events, the love of God is transforming lives within the walls of FBC and beyond.
First McKinney's mission is to help people find and follow Jesus.
First McKinney's vision is to ignite a movement of multi-cultural people who engage their neighbors, the nations of the world and the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Through dynamic teaching and missional leadership First McKinney is leaving a legacy here and around the world. Family-focused ministries and events are the core to a missional church that seeks to impact both the people within the walls of the church, and the community outside. Through focused activities, including 15 missions trips a year, countless service projects, and thousands of donors who give to benevolent causes, we seek to be a blessing in action and words to those who are not blessed.
