Due to the impact of COVID-19, we are working closely with our mission partners and cautiously planning our 2022 mission trips. We are monitoring each trip closely based on COVID restrictions and current conditions at the destination.

National trips

Family Mission Trips

Jackson, MS

Dates: July 14-17
Details: Family Mission Trip - Working with Calvary Baptist Church (HIS ministries) doing VBS, landscaping, painting and prayer walking.

Dates: June 15-19
Details: Family Mission Trip - doing VBS, light construction, Womens ministry, painting, community work with local church and food pantry.

Rio Grand Valley Texas

Dates: May 14-22
Details: First McKinney will partner with Buckner to build a home on our church campus starting March 4 for 6 weeks. The home will be built in modular sections to be easily disassembled. Once the house is built it will be disassembled and shipped to the Rio Grande Valley. We will then take a team to the RGV to rebuild the home for the family.

Sierra Leone
25 Project

Dates: June 16-25
Details: Change lives by teaching orphaned and vulnerable children about Jesus Christ. You will join the 25 Project’s ongoing ministry to children and families living in impoverished communities. Each team will serve in a local village and a three-day kid’s Bible Camp. This will allow you to form meaningful relationships with children in 25 Project’s sponsorship ministry as you enjoy sports, games, crafts, worship, and small group Bible study together.

Suriname

Details: The team will conduct eye glass clinics in the city, as well as in nearby areas. During the clinics, as you will meet with individuals to provide basic vision testing and needed glasses, you will be able to demonstrate the kindness of Jesus and have the opportunity to talk with students at the local university campus to share the hope of Jesus.

Hungarian teachers and students, ages 7 to 18, will be taught English-as-a-Foreign Language (EFL) and hear about the good news of Jesus.

J-Life

Dates: Sept/Oct '22
Details: Come and join us as we focus on helping local Zambian families overcome food poverty by learning agricultural CPR (Cultivate, Plant and Reap). The families who qualify for the program will be learning to produce sustainable food crops for their use and for trading in the market place. We will also be assisting in disciple-making CPR training where the family members will learn to Cultivate relationships in order to Plant the seed of the Gospel, in order to Reap a harvest of new believers, who will be discipled in the life of Jesus Christ.
