Executive Committee
A Counsel of Leadership at first McKinney
First McKinney operates under a staff-led, congregationally-directed model. The Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor provide leadership and oversee church functions, while the Executive Committee offers guidance on business matters.
The Executive Committee consists of nine members, each serving a three-year term. Their terms are staggered, with three members rotating off and new members joining each year. Church members are actively involved in this process as they nominate candidates and vote on the final slate of nominees annually.

Kent has been serving at First McKinney since making it his church home in 2004. Married to Ann for 35 years, they have two sons, John Kent and Cameron, who grew up in the church, along with three grandsons and two wonderful daughters-in-law. Trey Deupree
Trey Deupree and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for 37 years and have three children: Trevor, Mackenzie, and Whitney. Since making First McKinney their church home in 2006, Trey has been actively involved in serving, including 10 years as an Upward Basketball Coach. He currently serves in the Deacon Ministry, on the Pastor Security Team, and as an Usher.
Though Trey grew up in church and was baptized at a young age, he experienced a season of drifting away from God. In the 1990s, during a Promise Keepers event, he felt a clear call from the Holy Spirit to return to Christ. That moment deepened his faith and shaped his commitment to serving and growing as a believer, husband, and father.
Trey loves First McKinney’s mission to make disciples who live and love like Jesus. He values its Christ-centered leadership, welcoming community, and strong emphasis on discipleship over numbers. He also appreciates the church’s commitment to worship, small groups, and the next generation.
His hope for First McKinney is that it continues its 150-year legacy of loving Jesus and serving McKinney and beyond, remaining an active place of worship that brings hope to the world for generations to come.
