Everyone is Welcome

First McKinney is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in a life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts, and use them for God's glory. Each Service is rooted in Biblical truth and features something for the whole family. We hope you will plan on joining us this Sunday!

When we Meet

Weekly Worship

Sundays at 9:15am & 10:45am

Most Midweek activities are on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm

What To Expect

We love guests and hope you'll join us this Sunday. All of the worship services are a little over an hour long. The dress is casual, from jeans to suits, and guests can expect a memorable worship experience for the whole family. The service consists of several worship songs, an engaging sermon from the Bible, and several other creative elements. Everyone worships in their own unique way. For many, that means singing and clapping, and for others quiet reflection. There will be an offering during the service for our regular attendees, but please do not feel obligated to give. Our services are open to the entire community as we celebrate together each weekend.

Helpful Advice

  • The Worship Center is located under the large steeple and our main guest parking is adjacent. Parking across the street is also relatively convenient and the second best option to access the Worship Center.
  • The dress is casual: from jeans to suits.
  • If you have children, it's best to park close to the Children's Building on the south side of the campus. The safe and secure check-in is located at the south entrance of the Children's Building. Please allow a few extra minutes to check your children in. After checking your kids in, there is a covered walkway that will lead you towards the Worship Center.
  • Have teenagers? Look for The Rock entrance just to the side of the main entrance. Middle school groups meet at 9:15am and High school groups meet at 10:45am. There's an information area when you walk in to The Rock. Stop by and someone can help you find your way.
  • Information stations are located throughout the campus, but the central information station is in our "Connection," located conveniently at the heart of the campus between the Worship Center, Family Life Center and the Children's Building.
  • Our pastor and staff love to greet guests. After the service, you can meet Him at our Welcome Center just behind the Worship Center.

Grade School: Kinder-5th Grade
Grade school classes are on the second floor of our Children's Building. You will check-in at any entrance of the Children Building. While on the second floor, you are welcome to stop by and see the Kids' Theater or our Club 45 Room for 4th and 5th graders.
Middle School: 6th-8th Grade
Sundays, 9:15am   |   Wednesday Nights, 6:30pm

High School: 9th-12th Grade
Sundays, 10:45am  |  Wednesday Nights, 7:47pm
Sunday Morning small groups and Wednesday Night YouthQuake both meet in the ROCK Student Center. The ROCK is in the west part of Campus just down the main ramp from the Worship Center. There is a Welcome Desk in the Student Center's main lobby where a volunteer or staff can help your student find a group.
If you are looking for a way to get connected with others here at First McKinney, we encourage you to get into a group. Life Groups provide opportunities to study God’s Word through relevant Bible teaching, practical life application, and fellowship. Most of our groups meet on-campus each Sunday at 9:15am and 10:45am. We do have several off-campus and virtual groups that meet throughout the week.

Common Questions

Which service should I attend?

The two services are the same in content and format. Choose the one that best fits your schedule and Life Group choices.
Children's classes meet at both hours. For students, Middle School groups meet at 9:15am and High School groups meet at 10:45am.
You can find information at one of the Welcome Kiosks on campus about our services and how to find a Life Group.

What Should I wear to the service?

Please dress in the way you feel most comfortable. Those who attend wear anything from jeans to suits.
Your clothing isn't important to God; your willing and open heart is.
Come dressed comfortably, but come ready to experience the presence of God!

Information kiosks are located throughout the campus, but you may choose to park in the Guest Parking and enter the doors at the Chapel entrance. If you have children recommend using the guest parking near our Children's Building.  We have greeters at each door that can help you find your way to the Worship Center, Children’s Building, Family Life Center, or the ROCK (Student Center). The Connection is an information area located in between the main building and our Family Life Center in the back of the campus. Here, you can find information on all activities and ministries. Greeters are stationed all along your journey to assist you with any questions you may have.

is there Childcare Available?

Our Children's Ministry takes place in our Children's Building at the south part of the campus. If you are dropping off children, we recommend you use one of the guest parking spots close to the Children's Building instead of parking in the front of the campus near our Worship Center on Louisiana Street. This will help you drop off your children early and better navigate the campus without children in tow. You might allow yourself a few extra minutes to check them in. Grade School (K-5th grades) will have a large group experience followed by a small group experience most Sundays. We encourage you to take your grade school children with you to
worship and allow them to go to a Life Group for one service block.
There is a nursing mother's room in the Children's Building near the infant rooms. The service from our Worship Center is usually available on a screen in this room.
There are also chairs in the Ladies' Restroom near the Choir Room just outside of the Worship Center.

What about Sunday School?

Our Sunday School Program primarily takes place at 9:15 & 10:45am through on-campus Life Groups.  You can find an updated
Life Group listing at any of the Welcome Kiosks on campus or click below. Click HERE for a campus map with room locations.

Where do I Park?

Most guests enter our church from the Louisiana Street entrance. Parking attendants will help you find your way to the Worship Center. If you have trouble please don't hesitate to ask them for help. If you have children, you are invited to park next to our Children's Building in the south parking area at the back of the campus for easier access to this building.  There is also expectant/new parent parking available there.

Can I see/Hear the service before i Visit?

We stream services every week on our online platforms. You can also watch them on demand any time.
