It is possible to do all the right things as a Christian and still be missing the most important thing. The church in Ephesus was doctrinally sound, morally disciplined, and faithfully enduring, yet Jesus had one serious charge against them: they had abandoned their first love. Religion without love is simply activity without relationship. Jesus calls us to remember when our faith was alive, to repent and turn back toward Him, and to return to the practices that were present when our love for Him was real. We do not conquer through discipline or doctrinal precision alone, but through what Jesus has already done for us. The goal is not perfect performance. Jesus is asking for your heart.
