Loving our Neighbors as we Shelter in Place

Church Family,

During this incredibly unique season, we want to help you, your home and your neighbor to live and love like Jesus.

On Sundays, we have used the gift of technology to “gather” for worship. We have also heard wonderful stories of how Life Groups are praying and caring for one another through video-conference calls and serve projects. This morning, 100 homemade lunches were delivered to Emanuel Labor for the homeless in our community and one of our Life Groups provided lunch for the staff working overtime at Baylor Medical Center. In addition, we are hearing story after story of God working through you to love your neighbors…

Like many of you, our family has been seeing our our neighbors more than ever. We want to maximize the opportunities God is giving us in this season to meet needs and build relationships with appropriate physical, not social, distancing.

In order to help foster these relationships and to help spur on fun ways to love those around us, our team has created the Art of Neighboring on our website to help give each of us ideas on how we can best connect with, and love, our neighbors. Click HERE to check it out!

As we go and love our neighbor this week, I want to ask you – Do you know their names? How are your neighbors doing? What do they need the most in this season? Have you asked them? Have you offered to pray with them? Do they know Jesus? I hope these are challenging questions as I know they are for me as well.

Just think, what if you are the one the Lord uses to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ into your neighbor’s life?

Now…GO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR!

“We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.” -  Apostle Paul
