Knowing God through the Story of Scripture

Women's Discipleship Class
Theater   |  Aug 17 - Nov 16
We've heard all the Bible stories and have our favorite characters. But do we know how they all relate to one another and to the grand plan, or meta-narrative, of God? In this 14-week class, learn to connect the dots from Genesis to Jesus to Revelation. What has God been doing through history, and what is his ultimate goal? How does understanding God's big story help us know him better?

Take Courage

By: Jennifer Rothschild
 Sept 15 - Oct 27
Leader:  Lynn Quernemoen

Participant will purchase their book
Do you ever feel like the happy ending of your story is a million miles away? When the Jewish people returned from exile, they found their city and temple in shambles. They were discouraged, distracted and ready to throw in the towel. Haggai reminded them they could take courage and work because God was with them. Sometimes the landscapes of our lives feel wrecked, and our hopes and purposes are in shambles, however, God’s presence and promises give us the courage to press on and trust Him with our stories. You will receive an email with the ZOOM invite link prior to the first study, Thursday, September 15.
*We have 7 extra copies of this book I can sell to you at a discount. If interested, email amy.ackerman@firstmckinney.com. *
